The
catastrophic mortality of coral reefs in the Phoenix Islands due to global
warming was featured in "An Inconvenient Truth" to illustrate that
coral reefs are an early warning sign for global warming, as
well as in the National Resource Defense Council film, "Acid Test: The
Global Challenge of Ocean Acidification."
